Introduction to Lion's Den Game Master 5

Welcome to the first in a series of videos on the app Game Master 5 from Lion’s Den. Designed for DMs (or GMs), Game Master 5 is an outstanding campaign, adventure, combat manager for Dungeons & Dragons 5.

In this video, I just go over the basics and give you an idea of what GM5 can do for you. In future videos I’ll dive into the initiative tracker, creating campaigns, sharing files with Fight Club 5 and more.

If you have any questions about the app, requests for new videos, or just want to say Hi, comment below.

(I apologize in advance for the shuffling noise around the 6:15 mark. I did this in 1 take and didn’t have time to re-do it. Sorry.)

  1. Thanks for all your job, it is amazing and help a lot of masters aroung the world. But I have a doubt that is confusing me. I downloaded Phandelver's campaign and the creatures are correct in the encounters, but I don't find them in the compendium (if I need to add one in a ready encounter, for example.) Is this normal or did I do something wrong? Please help me. Thanks in advance.

  2. Great video and loving the app. Any advise on finding more campaigns? I would really like to find Dragon of Icespire Peak from the essential kit.

  3. Is there any way to create this on a PC, and then import it to the app? The app is fantastic but doing this all from a tablet is tiresome

  4. Is this available for Android tablets? Someone said it only works with apple because of Dropbox, but android has a system just like Dropbox.

  5. Great video and much appreciated given the dearth of guidance on how to use GM5e. However I’m having the same problem as David K – I can import xml notes at Campaign level but can’t get them to import at adventure level. There is no import option within adventures – only at campaign. Any advice on what I’m missing. Thanks in advance.

  6. Thank you! I just recently started using GM5 to run my group’s campaign and haven’t found much online on how others utilize and organize their campaigns with this app. Definitely looking forward to more videos.
